Mass Energy as Zero Point Energy

In a way mass energy was an analagy for these ZPE ideas that actually worked. You would think with an atom sitting there, all you have is the electronic energies availbile, but actualy there is this huge mass energy if you know how to harness it. Problem is you need an explaination for how you can lower the energy, and a new interaction to bring it about.
