TB: See the Good

Definition

Sturgeon's Law states that 90% of everything is crap. "See the Good" is the antidote: train yourself to find and appreciate the 10% that is genuinely worth keeping, rather than being overwhelmed by the majority that isn't.

Why it matters

A default critical stance — focusing on what's wrong — is cognitively easy but impoverishes experience and misses real value. The discipline of actively finding what works, what's admirable, or what's worth learning from is a skill that compounds: people who practice it consistently extract more signal from the same environment.
