TB: Decisions Stacking
Definition
Make lower-impact, easier-to-quit decisions that teach you something before committing to the high-impact, hard-to-reverse decision. Stack decisions so that each reversible one generates information that improves the next irreversible one.
Why it matters
One-way doors (irreversible decisions) carry enormous stakes. The natural instinct is to deliberate — but deliberation without experience is just speculation. Decisions stacking replaces speculation with data: rent before you buy, run a pilot before a full launch, date before marrying. Each reversible trial reduces uncertainty before the commitment.
